On our duality as therapists and nudist, and why we believe that normalizing the body is the first step to healing it.
If you have browsed our social media or seen images from our travels, you have likely seen photos where we appear naked in the middle of a mountain, in a river, or facing the sea.
For some, seeing their therapist without clothes can be shocking. We are used to the “white coat” or the uniform that marks distance and authority.
But we, do not believe in distance. We believe in humanity.
Today we want to explain why nudity is an intrinsic part of who we are, both in our private and professional lives, and why this “duality” is, in fact, our best working tool.
1. Nudism: Our Roots (ACexplora)
Before being the therapists who welcome you into the room, we are people who love freedom.
We are the founders of ACexplora, a project where we guide groups on hiking and adventure trips… nudist style.
For us, taking off our clothes in nature has nothing to do with exhibitionism or sex. It has to do with returning to the origin.
When you walk naked through the Alps or bathe in a river in Colombia without textiles, the barrier between you and the world disappears. You feel the air, the sun, and the water on every inch of your skin.
This wild and pure connection is what recharges our batteries so we can then hold space for you in the consultation room.
2. Therapeutic Coherence: “Leading by Example”
In our massage room, we ask you to undress.
We ask you to take off your clothes, but also to take off your shame, your complexes, and your emotional armor.
How could we ask you to love your body if we hid ours?
Showing ourselves naked in nature is our way of telling you:
“Look, we are flesh and bone too. We have folds, we have marks, we have skin. And we are at peace with that.“
A therapist who is afraid of their own nudity will (unconsciously) transmit insecurity to the client.
A therapist who inhabits their body with freedom will transmit safety.
When you see that we are not afraid of being seen, your nervous system understands that by our side, you will not be judged.
3. Desexualizing Nudity
We live in a strange society: nudity is allowed if it is to “sell” (advertising, fashion, perfect hyper-sexualized bodies), but it is frowned upon if it is natural, imperfect, and everyday.
We have a clear mission: Desexualize nudity to Sacralize it.
- A naked body is not necessarily a sexual invitation.
- A naked body is a map of stories. It is beauty. It is vulnerability.
When we post a photo of us naked on a peak, we are claiming that the body is an instrument of joy and freedom, not just desire. And this is exactly the same philosophy we apply to Tantra Energy: sexual energy is life, and it can be lived from innocence and purity, not just from lust.
4. And in the massage room? (The Important Nuance)
Having seen these images of us in nature may generate the logical question: “So, do you work naked during sessions?”
The answer is: Sometimes. But with very clear rules.
As nudists, we feel comfortable without clothes and we know that, at certain moments of therapy (especially in Tantra or Lomi Lomi), working skin-to-skin facilitates a much cleaner energy flow, without static electricity or the barrier of clothing. It helps us be more connected to the Earth and transmit better.
But there is a Non-Negotiable Red Line:
The therapist’s nudity is an exclusively professional decision of ours.
- It is not an “on demand” service: The client can never ask or demand that we undress. If they do, the answer will be no.
- It is a matter of energy, not visuals: If at any time we decide to work without clothes, it is because our intuition tells us that the session needs it to deepen, never to please the client’s sight.
- Trust first: Generally, we do not do this in first sessions. We need to have built a solid bond of respect before sharing this vulnerability in the room.
So, if you see us naked on the mountain, it is because we are free. If you see us naked in the room, it is because we are using our whole being to care for you. In both cases, the intention is always sacred.
The Duality that Adds Up
Are we serious professionals? Yes. Do we constantly train and take care of protocols? Absolutely.
But we are also wild. We are also naturists.
We do not hide behind a uniform because we believe that the best therapy is authenticity.
So, whether you see us in massage clothes or you see us with nothing under a waterfall, we are the same: Carles and Angela, honoring the body as the temple it is.
Thank you for looking at us with clean eyes.
